La Val - hiking village: the Ladin alpine village in the South Tyrolean Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage Site!

The Ladin village of La Val located at 1348 m above the sea level in the Dolomites in South Tyrol reveals to the attentive hiker the unique and spectacular beauty of the Dolomites in the background, the well-managed Alpine meadows with their hay barns dating from the La Tène period; the traditional farmsteads called "Viles" and the ancient buildings in "old La Val", witnessing a centuries-old history.

The spectacular and peaceful surroundings, framed by an impressive number of hiking trails, from easy walks to challenging climbing tours; mystical places and impressive mountain scenery, make La Val a popular destination for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Even in winter La Val offers a variety of holiday options for the whole family: skiing, sledge riding, cross-country skiing, winter hikes are only few of the practicable activities in winter.
